Vintage Finds and French Crêpes at the Ivory Elephant Market This Sunday
Looking for something to do in Limerick this Sunday? Join us at the Milk Market on Sunday 8 November for the Ivory Elephant Market — a chance to browse vintage fashion, discover independent Irish businesses and enjoy a freshly prepared crêpe at Bon Appétit.Discover a different side of the Milk Market
Launched in March 2023 by the team behind Whack Vintage, Ivory Elephant began with a simple idea: bring more activity to the Milk Market on Sundays and give small Irish businesses a place to share what they do.
Today, this monthly gathering brings together vintage sellers, makers and independent brands in the heart of Limerick. Its mix of vintage clothing, retro football shirts, handmade jewellery, crafts, art and food gives you plenty of reasons to take your time.
Whether you enjoy searching through clothes rails or discovering a maker you have never come across before, it is a lovely opportunity for a Sunday browse.
Find something with a storyPart of the appeal is meeting the people behind the businesses. You can ask how a piece was made, hear the story behind a brand or find a vintage item to give a second life.
Local printmaker T. Kavanagh Art has listed this Sunday’s Ivory Elephant Market in its November diary. The artist’s hand-carved, hand-printed linocuts draw inspiration from Irish nature, wildlife and mythology — a lovely example of the creativity to discover at local markets.
With Christmas approaching, why not start looking for thoughtful gifts while supporting independent businesses? You might find something for someone special, or a little treat for yourself.
Make time for a taste of FranceBrowsing can work up an appetite! Here at Bon Appétit, we will be ready to welcome you to our little corner of France.
Choose a freshly prepared savoury buckwheat galette for lunch or treat yourself to a sweet French crêpe. Perhaps classic lemon and sugar, Nutella, or apple compote and cinnamon will tempt you.
We have been bringing French flavours to Limerick since 2005, and sharing a market day with our fellow independent traders is something we love.
Come with friends, bring the family or enjoy a browse at your own pace, then stop by and say bonjour.
